毎年7月ペナンでは、恒例のジョージタウンフェスティバルが開催されます。ユネスコの世界遺産に指定されたことを記念して2010年から毎年開催されているこのフェスティバルは、今年で12回目を迎えます。

開催期間は2021年7月10日から18日

このジョージタウンフェスティバル2021のプログラムの一つ、「Lights On」バーチャルプロジェクションマッピングで、バーチャルレジデンシープログラムのオープンコールが始まりました！
バーチャルレジデンシープログラムは、プロのアドバイザーやキュレーターの指導の下で、選ばれた6人のレジデンシーアーティストが、マイクロプロジェクションマッピングデザインを作成することを目的としています。仮想展示では、レジデンシーアーティストのデザインが展示され、遺産都市ジョージタウンのマイクロモックアップに投影されます。 「LightsOn」は、仮想レジデンシープログラムのレジデンシーアーティストが参加する共有セッションと一緒に、ジョージタウンフェスティバルのソーシャルメディアプラットフォームを介してライブストリーミングされる予定です。

このレジデンシーアーティストの参加者を募集しています。国内外を問わず技術に精通したアーティスト、デザイナー、クリエーターを求めています。

Every July in Penang, the annual Georgetown Festival is held, which has been held annually since 2010 to
commemorate the designation as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is celebrating its 12th anniversary this year.

One of the programs of this Georgetown Festival 2021, “Lights On” virtual projection mapping, the open call
of the virtual residency program has started!
The Virtual Residency Program aims to select six Residency artists and create microprojection mapping
designs under the guidance of professional advisors and curators. In the virtual exhibition, the design of the
residency artist will be exhibited and projected onto a micromockup in the heritage city of Georgetown.
“Lights On” will be live-streamed via the Georgetown Festival’s social media platform, along with a shared
session attended by the Residency Artists of the Virtual Residency Program.

We are looking for participants who are interested in this residency artist. We are looking for artists,
designers, and creators who are proficient in technology both at home and abroad.
