The first edition of the Cerrado Mapping Festival will takes place on August 28 and 29, 2020, in the Vila de Santa Bárbara located in Augusto de Lima, Minas Gerais, Brazil. The main theme is the Cerrado because it is the ecosystem where Vila de Santa Bárbara is located and it is also the second largest biome in Brazil. However, it is one of the most threatened natural areas on the entire planet. The event aims to encourage and contribute to this discussion through videomapping projections that alert and mobilize Brazilian society for a sustainable life, valuing the Cerrado’s culture, wealth and diversity.
