The 12th Staro Riga International Light Festival

 

第12回スタロリガ国際ライトフェスティバルはラトビアのリガで11月15日から18日までに開催されます。
今年のテーマは4つの次元、時間、空間、人、光のライトアートになります。ラトビア、エストニア、デンマーク、ドイツ、フランス、イギリスの6か国のアーティストがそれぞれ解釈した独自の作品が展示されます。今年は、標準オブジェクト、オーディオビジュアルインスタレーション、ビデオマッピング、レーザープロジェクション、ジェネレーティブアートなど、合計35のライトアートオブジェクトを2つのプログラムに分けられ開催されます。

オブジェクトの配置は非常に集中的で簡単にアクセスができ、主に旧市街とリガの中心部にありますが、3つのフェスティバルオブジェクトだけは街の中心部から少し離れた場所にあります。ラトビアのスポーツ教育アカデミーとアジェンスカンス市場とリガ国際空港で。

また、フェスティバルでは初めての特別なイベントプログラムがあります。国際的に有名な英国のマルチメディアアーティスト、ブライアンイーノのインスタレーション77 Million Paintings in Riga Art Spaceが見れたり、ラトビア国立歌劇場の広場で人気のラトビアポップシンガーのアミナタの新しいミニアルバムプレゼンテーションをご覧いただけます。彼女の音楽に触発されて作成された軽いインスタレーションも展示されます。伝統的なスタロリガフェスティバルランも行われ、参加者のお方はstarorigaskrejiens.lvに登録いただけます。

The 12th Staro Riga International Light Festival will be taking place  from 15th to 18th November at Riga, Latvia. This year, the theme will be 4D or the four dimensions of light art – time, space, the person and light, which the artists from 6 countries, Latvia, Estonia, Denmark, Germany, France and Great Britain have interpreted, each according to their own creative plan. There will be two programmes on view this year aith a total of 35 light art objects, ranging from standard objects, audio-visual installation, video projection, laser projection, generative art and many more.

The placement of the objects will be quite intensive and easily accessible, located mainly in the Old Town and Riga’s centre, but three festival objects, equally worthy of viewing will also be located a little further from the central part of the city at Riga International Airport, the Latvian Academy of Sport Education and at Agenskalns Market.

There will also be a special events programme at the festival for the first time. Here you will be able to view internationally famous legendary British multi-media artist Brian Eno’s installation 77 Million Paintings at Riga Art Space or visit popular Latvian pop singer Aminata’s new mini-album presentation in the square by the Latvian National Opera. A light installation which has been created, inspired by her music, will be located here throughout the festival. The traditional Staro Riga Festival Run will also be taking place, with participant registration on the starorigaskrejiens.lv. homepage.
