角川武蔵野ミュージアム

KADOKAWAと埼玉県所沢市が共同で進めている街づくりプロジェクト「ところざわサクラタウン」内にある図書館と美術館と博物館が融合した文化複合施設。

世界的建築家の隈研吾が国立競技場と同時期にデザインした、多面体の“岩デザイン”の外観に圧倒されます。

 ミュージアム内では、地上1階から5階までで、リアルとバーチャルの展示を織り交ぜた展示を展開予定。

 角川武蔵野ミュージアムの象徴となる高さ8メートルの巨大本棚に囲まれる「本棚劇場」。「本棚劇場」では、定期的に「本と遊び、本と交わる」をコンセプトとしたプロジェクションマッピングを上映する予定です。

 新型コロナの影響により、プレオープン及びグランドオープンが遅れていますが、美術・博物・図書をひとまとめにした、前人未到のプロジェクトの体験が楽しみですね。

◆2020年7月下旬～10月：プレオープン期間（一部施設、店舗毎に随時開業）◆2020年11月以降：全館オープン

 

 Kadokawa Musashino Museum

KADOKAWA and Tokorozawa City, Saitama Prefecture are jointly promoting the urban development project
“Tokorozawa Sakura Town”, which is a cultural complex where libraries and museums are integrated.
You will be overwhelmed by the appearance of the “rock design” of the polyhedron designed by world
architect Kengo Kuma at the same time as the National Stadium.

Inside the museum, exhibitions that mix real and virtual will be exhibited on the 1st to 5th floors above the
ground.

The “Bookshelf Theater” is surrounded by a huge bookshelf with a height of 8 meters, which is a symbol of
the Kadokawa Musashino Museum.
At “Bookshelf Theater”, projection mappings based on the concept of “play with books and interact with books will be regularly screened.

The pre-opening and grand opening are delayed due to the influence of the new COVID-19, but the
experience of an unprecedented project that put together art, museum and books are worth waiting.
